The Elkridge Club, located just outside of downtown Baltimore, spans 117 acres and offers an experience rooted in family values and timeless traditions. With over 140 years of tradition, the Club prides itself on its rich history and dedication to serving generations of families. The Club boasts a heated three-bay indoor learning center that is available for year-round use for instruction, clinics, club fittings, in addition to an indoor practice putting green.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Baltimore, MD, for an Assistant Golf Professional. The Assistant Golf Professional will assist with daily golf operations, including organizing tournaments, managing the golf shop, and maintaining practice facilities. Responsibilities include providing world-class services on a daily basis to members and guests, help oversee bag room/outside operations, and be an ambassador of the game of golf.
The role also involves maintaining a welcoming environment for members and guests, supporting the Head Golf Professional, and ensuring the efficient running of golf-related activities.
- Strong Customer Service skills with an ability to foster positive experiences for members and guests
- Experience running events using Golf Genius to help assistant Professional Staff run ~20 events throughout golf season (April-October)
- merchandising experience including golf shop displays and inventory of items
- PGA Class A certification or progress toward PGA membership is highly desirable
- Ability to work well in a team environment and demonstrate leadership as needed
- Strong communication skills with members and guests alike
- Passion for golf and providing an excellent club experience through knowledge of equipment, rules, playing with members
- Competitive pay starting at ~60k salary, depending on experience
