Lab Technician- Part Time; Essex

Class Description

The purpose of this class is to provide assistance in the daily maintenance of a specialized instructional environment or to assist with special projects.

A candidate for this position must be able to work in theafternoons and evenings.

High School/GED required and one year of experience working as aLab Technician or Lab Aide in an educational or healthcare setting preferred.

• Follow oral and written directions.
• Work safely with minimal supervision.
• Follow lab procedures and protocols.
• Care and maintenance of other lab equipment.
• Work with instructors in the operations of assigned area.
• Order and take regular inventory of lab equipment and supplies.

Employees maycontribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b) post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combinedfor the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
• Deferred Compensation Plan — 457(b) offered through VOYAFinancial Advisors, Inc. The 457(b) salary reduction authorizationform is needed. The form is available on SharePoint Forms/Human Resources Forms.
