Reports to: Director, Fleet Operations

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee 4 diesel mechanics.
• Responsible for all Preventive Maintenance (PM) inspections.
• Responsible for work orders, parts ordering, and inventory control.
• Responsible for daily pre/post trip inspections.
• Utilize fleet software and drive efficiencies.
• Maintain positive, proactive contact with outside vendors for repairs.
• Monitor fleet mileage.
• Track all repairs for each bus.
• Complete monthly maintenance report for the client, assure accuracy, and meet deadlines.
• Schedule, plan, track, monitor or perform inspections as required (preventive maintenance, pre/post trip, Fire Line, etc.).
• Be available on weekends and overnight.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive maintenance experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of Fleet Management Experience, including full responsibility for fleet maintenance.
• Experience using fleet management software for tracking and scheduling fleet maintenance.
• Must be ASE Certified.

  Certifications:
  
  hydraulic brake certification, A/C, Cummins Engines, Allison Transmissions, etc.
• Experience with Cummins Engines - Preferred.
• Experience with Allison Transmissions - Preferred.
