Job Summary The Regional Driver Trainer is responsible for improving driver safety compliance performance and professionalism across assigned terminals This role focuses on coaching drivers and operations personnel promoting a strong safety culture ensuring regulatory compliance and serving as a key liaison between drivers operations and safety management The Driver Trainer accepts responsibility for the safety performance and compliance of drivers and personnel assigned to their care

Key Responsibilities Driver Training & Coaching Train and assist drivers in the use of electronic logging devices ELDs Train and counsel drivers on Safe driving practices Customer service expectations Safe work habits Hours of Service HOS compliance Equipment inspection and preventative maintenance Hazardous Materials regulations and compliance Conduct driver road tests ride alongs and driver orientation meetings Provide accident and injury counseling and follow up Promote personal habits that improve driver safety and health Maintain an open hotline for driver support related to hazardous materials and safety concerns Safety Monitoring & Performance Management Continuously monitor driver performance using Brocade data including top 10 and bottom 10 performers Take appropriate action for recognition coaching retraining or counseling Review and counsel drivers using CER data Bendix Safety Direct Bendix event videos collision mitigation excessive braking curve speed seatbelt violations Speed Gauge excessive speeding Geotab HOS compliance CSA roadside inspection data Communicate potential driver risk trends or hazards to Safety Management for further review Participate in safety reviews and investigations as needed Terminal & Field Operations Visit each assigned terminal at least once per month including Yard checks and safety lane exercises Meetings with drivers and operations personnel Equipment inspections Drop lot inspections Customer location visits with prior approval Document all interactions and submit detailed terminal visit reports to Safety Management and the Regional Director Conduct terminal safety lane exercises monthly and document participation Perform shop and warehouse inspections when requested and submit findings to the Supervisor Communicate equipment defects to operations and maintenance and place equipment out of service when…
