WorkShift And Hours
- Monday – Friday, 6:00 pm – 2:30 am
- Expected pay rate for this position is starting between $26.00 – $28.00 per hour depending on experience.
The night shift is where tomorrow’s deliveries get built. When the day crew leaves and the building quiets down, the night team steps in to load trucks, rotate stock, pull conduit wire, and make sure every outbound order is staged correctly before drivers arrive at first light. This role is approximately 80% warehouse work and 20% driving.
- Operate forklifts safely and in compliance with certification requirements.
- Follow all safety guidelines and proper lifting techniques; 80 lb. lift requirement applies throughout the shift.
- Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with DOT regulations and Shepherd safety standards.
- Process merchandise returns accurately and stage them for proper disposition before the shift ends.
- Rotate stock to maintain inventory accuracy and freshness across product lines.
- Keep product organized in correct bin locations to enable day‑team picking without delays.
- Load company trucks efficiently and accurately so drivers depart on schedule without rework.
- Pull conduit wire correctly—verify quantities and product before staging.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse for the next shift.
- Trucks loaded correctly and on time—drivers depart without rework or missing product.
- Conduit wire pulled accurately—quantities and products match orders every time.
- Stock rotated and returns processed before the shift ends—nothing left for the day team to sort out.
- Forklifts and vehicles operated safely every shift—no safety shortcuts, no unreported issues.
- Warehouse clean and organized when the day team arrives—operations can begin immediately.
- Warehouse Manager trusts the night shift runs correctly without close supervision.
- You do your best work when no one is watching—the standard does not change because it is 1 a.m.
- You take accuracy seriously—a wrong load or a missed return is not just your problem, it is someone else’s morning.
- You are physically capable, steady under pressure, and do not need to be told twice.
- You are dependable—teammates and supervisors know that when you are on shift, the work gets done right.
- You take pride in leaving things better than you found them—trucks loaded, stock rotated, warehouse clean, day team set up for success.
- CDL Class B required;
Class A preferred. - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience preferred; night shift experience is a strong plus.
- Forklift certification required or ability to obtain through onsite training.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs using proper technique and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license required; current DOT and medical certification cards required.
- Dependable attendance and a team‑oriented mindset.
- Ability to successfully complete pre‑employment screening requirements including background check and drug test.
