Paratransit Operator – Baltimore MTA Mobility
We are located at two convenient locations: 2600 Sisson Street and 4501
E. Lombard Street.
We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Paratransit Operator to join our elite team in Baltimore, Maryland. As a key member you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

- Execute flawless operations transporting passengers throughout Baltimore and the surrounding area in a safe and courteous manner. Meticulously following designated routes and schedules while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations.
- Greet passengers, ensure fare payment, exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation for all.
- Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
- Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, encompassing seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.
- Other duties as required.
- 20 years or older
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- A valid Maryland Driver’s License
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience
- Must have a satisfactory driving record
- Must pass a pre‑employment background check
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
- Availability to work days, evenings, weekends and overnight shifts as assigned
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical, including pre‑employment and random drug screens. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
- Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions
- Sit for extended periods of time, ability to walk on varying terrains including sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
- Push and pull objects up to 50 - 100 pounds
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 lbs
- Bend, kneel, or crouch to assist passengers as needed
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job
