Ryder is hiring a Part Time NON CDL Truck Driver in Linthicum Heights, MD — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $28.59 Per Hour & $5.90/hr Health & Wellness
• Hours Per Week:
  Approx. 19 Hours per week
• Paid Training
• Schedule:
  
  Monday
  - Saturday
• Start Time:
  Anytime between 2:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations

In addition to Ryder employment requirements, for employment on this account, the United States Postal Service (USPS) requires:

• A secondary background screen
  - Federal Level 2 conducted by the USPS to allow access to premises and/or to provide contractual services
• Selective Service registration for males born after December 31, 1959, unless there is a legal exemption

Minimum 21 years of age

Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience

Pass a Ryder Drug Test

Must have verifiable driving experience (
* must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):

• 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years

Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Pass a DOT physical

Pass a Ryder road test

Must have a valid driver's license

Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
