• Saturday and Sunday: 4 AM to 4 PM (Days)
• Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday: 4 PM to 4 AM (Overnights)

• Friday and Saturday and Sunday: 4 AM to 4 PM (Days)

• Requirements: Must have a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. Valid TWIC card required.
• Experience: Previous experience hauling Hazmat is NOT required

Responsibilities /

Job Duties:

Velocity Rail Solutions drivers are responsible for loading, transporting, and transferring red-dyed diesel into trains and/or storage tanks on an "on-call" basis for the Railroad. On-the-job training will be provided for qualified individuals. The Railroad maintains dedicated trucks and drivers on duty 24/7/365, including nights, weekends, and holidays, ensuring consistent paychecks. You will be paid for a full 12 hours each shift, including breaks, lunches, and any wait time for dispatches.

You will be paid for all "on-duty" hours, regardless of the specific task you are dispatched for.

Requirements/

Qualifications:

• Licenses and Endorsements:
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with hazmat and tanker endorsements. Valid TWIC card.
• Must reside in or around Glen Burnie/Curtis Bay area.
• Background and Compliance:
• Must be able to clear all background checks required by the company, customer, and government
• Must not be prohibited from performing safety-sensitive functions as per the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Must have completed all required steps as mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) in the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations
• Must pass a road test in a tractor trailer.
• Responsible for maintaining all required licenses and certifications
• Possess a valid DOT medical card
• Comply with DOT regulations, including annual MVR checks and certification of violations
• Skills and Abilities:
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English
• Must be reliable and dependable
• Must know when to ask for help
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Physical Requirements:
• Able to consistently bend, stoop, kneel, and climb on and off elevated surfaces
• May have to walk long distances on paved, unmaintained, or uneven surfaces
• Able to climb in and out of a truck cab multiple times per shift and climb a ladder or steps 10 or more times per day
• Ability to drive and work outside in adverse weather conditions
• Will work with non-hazardous liquid and dry bulk materials
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently
