Warehouse Material Handler Operator

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Port Deposit, Maryland – offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

• Hourly Pay $21.50 per hour
• Overtime Pay $32.25 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when working third shift
• Schedule:
  
  Third Shift Thursday‑Saturday 6:00 pm - 6:00 am, every other Wednesday 6:00 pm - 6:00 am

Ryder Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well‑run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US.

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Manage day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hour of production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Team player with ability to work in a diverse work environment.
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual and maintain good attendance.
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
• Initiative, accuracy under pressure, attention to detail, excellent follow‑up practices.
• Ability to lift or push/pull up to 35 lbs, stand for long periods, and use health and safety methods.
• Must be available for a flexible schedule across various work shifts.
