Position Overview
Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Baltimore, Maryland offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a health‑focused career.
Pay & Hours- Hourly Pay $23.00 per hour
- Additional Pay $2.00 per hour
- Schedule:
Wednesday through Saturday 10:00am-8:30pm
- Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of operations.
- Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to team members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
- Inspire and guide team members toward improved Key Performance Indicators using appropriate leadership styles and methods.
- Assist in orienting employees and provide necessary information, technology, and tools to perform their jobs.
- Promote health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
- Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
- Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
- One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred.
- One (1) year or more Microsoft Office experience preferred.
- One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Knowledge and/or experience with an advanced RF scanner is required.
- Valid forklift operator's license certified.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective leadership skills.
- Possesses flexibility to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proactively approaches responsibilities.
- Maintains composure under pressure.
- Works using health and safety methods.
- Bilingual (For Québec locations only).
