Warehouse Team Lead

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Baltimore, Maryland. The position offers weekly pay, benefits, and a career focused on safety and operational excellence.

• Hourly Pay $23.00 per hour
• Additional Pay $2.00 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  Wednesday through Saturday 10:00am‑8:30pm

• Products Being Handled:
  Snack foods
• Equipment:
  Warehouse Management System, computers, Microsoft Office
• Required safety gear will be provided

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work duties for team members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members toward improved Key Performance Indicators using appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in providing appropriate orientation for employees and supply them with the necessary information, technology, and tools to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Manage day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One (1) year or more previous experience as a Team Lead preferred.
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) experience preferred.
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner – advanced required.
• Valid forklift operator's license, certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective leadership skills.
• Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proactive approach to responsibilities.
• Maintains composure under pressure.
• Works using health and safety methods.
• Bilingual (for Quebec locations only).
