Warehouse Inventory Clerk

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Inventory Clerk in Baltimore, Maryland. The role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

Pay: $23.00 per hour.

Schedule:

Sunday–Wednesday 7:00 am–5:30 pm.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a warehouse/distribution environment as a clerk, performing transportation coordination, inventory, shipping/receiving, and interaction with carriers, vendors, and customers (strongly preferred)
• Ability to make quick, reliable decisions representing both the customer and Ryder
• Strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of WMS systems preferred
• Experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• Equipment certification may be required

• Perform administrative tasks for the area or shift
• Maintain filing systems and documents per standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Interact with customers and contractors, answering questions regarding shipment times, product cuts, loads not picked up, and damage claims
• Coordinate processing of export orders, fill out export paperwork, generate export labels, and maintain export documentation
• Process returns in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and maintain paperwork
• Manage pallet inventory: order CHEP and white‑wood pallets for the site, reconcile pallet counts, and research large pallet system variances
• Using the location's WMS system, update area or shift metrics as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned and work overtime as required
