Job Overview

This position is responsible for leading and managing all warehouse activities on a designated shift and/or account. The scope includes shipping, receiving, inventorying, product repackaging, palletizing, and forklift operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards, including daily inspection and maintenance.
  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, reach truck, or motorized pallet rider.
  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
  • Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate areas.
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring correct quantity and type.
  • Move product from staging or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  • Pick and pack items (including light assembly of mechanical or electrical components) and record storage.
  • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
  • Maintain records and reports to guarantee tight inventory control and security.
  • Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Investigate and resolve problems or discrepancies in special customer requests.
  • Coordinate with other departments/functions as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervise training, development, appraisal, and work assignments of material handlers and/or temporary personnel.
  • Provide general direction and independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives.
  • Lead by example and share knowledge/skills with team members.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED, or minimum of two years of related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report and correspondence writing.
  • Basic mathematical skills (fractions, percentages, ratios, rates).
  • Sound reasoning ability and problem‑solving skills.
  • Competence in using software applications such as mobile management, timekeeping, HRIS, and other job‑related systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Certified license for powered material handling equipment.
