Content Writer – Associate (Junior)

Role Summary

The Associate Content Writer will support the creative and marketing teams by developing clear, engaging, and brand-aligned content across online and offline touchpoints. The role involves working on campaign, retail, social and retention communication for a fashion/jewellery brand with a strong offline presence.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Write copy for social media platforms - posts, captions, reels/video copy and campaign-led content
- Develop content for Meta & Google ads, adapting messaging for performance-driven formats
- Support retention communication
- Emailers, Whats App/SMS content, CRM communication
- Create and maintain offline retail content - in-store communication and campaign content
- Write product descriptions and collection highlights for website and internal brand use
- Assist in content development for campaigns, launches, sales and seasonal promotions across channels.
- Ensure consistency in brand tone, voice, and messaging across content.
- Stay aware of social media trends, topical themes and fashion & jewellery trends
- Collaborate closely with designers, marketing and senior copywriters
- Edit and proofread content for clarity, grammar and adherence to brand guidelines
- Ability to bring original thought and writing style, using tools (including AI) to support the process.
- Support basic SEO best practices for relevant digital content.

Candidate Profile

- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field.
- 0–1 year of experience in content writing (internships or project-based experience acceptable).
- Strong command of written English with the ability to write clear, concise and engaging copy.
- Interest in fashion, jewellery, retail or lifestyle brands.
- Ability to adapt writing style across platforms — digital, social, retention, in-store and offline.
- Good attention to detail and openness to feedback.

- Conduct research on jewelry trends, materials, and industry terminology to ensure accurate and up-to-date content.
- Collaborate with the SEO team to implement basic SEO best practices to optimize product descriptions, titles, and metadata for improved search engine visibility.
- Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Maintain consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all product descriptions and content to build a cohesive brand identity.

Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Fresher or min 1 yr experience in content writing

- Experience with product content creation for fashion industry e-commerce platforms is preferable.
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English
- Ability to inculcate word-pictures in writing
- Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and online content best practices.
