Role Summary
The KST Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Kitchen Support Team (KST) at Food Whisperer. The role will ensure smooth kitchen operations through effective manpower deployment, hygiene and sanitation, timely support to the culinary team, and adherence to Food Whisperer’s operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
KST Operations & Kitchen Support
Supervise day-to-day activities of the Kitchen Support Team as per operational requirements
Allocate KST manpower across kitchen areas based on workload and business requirements
Ensure timely availability of clean utensils, equipment, workstations, and other kitchen support requirements
Coordinate with Chefs and kitchen teams to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations
Monitor cleaning, washing, waste disposal, and other kitchen support activities
Ensure proper handling, movement, and storage of kitchen equipment and materials
Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within the required timelines
Support the team during peak hours, special events, and high-volume operations
Team Management
Supervise, guide, and monitor KST members on a daily basis
Prepare and manage duty rosters and shift allocations
Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming, and discipline of KST employees
Ensure adequate manpower availability across shifts and escalate shortages to the reporting manager
Conduct on-the-job training for new and existing KST employees
Ensure employees follow assigned responsibilities and operational SOPs
Address day-to-day employee concerns and escalate disciplinary or performance-related issues when required
Build teamwork, discipline, and a positive working environment within the KST
Hygiene, Cleaning & Safety
Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HSEQ standards
Monitor cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, workstations, equipment, utensils, and common areas
Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of kitchen equipment and utensils
Monitor proper segregation and disposal of wet and dry waste
Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored, handled, and used safely
Conduct regular hygiene and cleanliness checks and take corrective action where required
Ensure KST members follow personal hygiene, grooming, PPE, and safety requirements
Support internal hygiene and safety audits and ensure closure of identified observations
Equipment & Material Management
Monitor availability and condition of cleaning materials, PPE, chemicals, and other KST requirements
Coordinate with Stores and Operations for timely replenishment of consumables
Ensure proper and economical usage of cleaning materials and consumables
Report damaged, missing, or unsafe equipment to the concerned department
Ensure proper care and handling of kitchen equipment and utensils
Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with Chef, Site Manager, HR, HSEQ, and Operations teams on daily requirements
Communicate manpower shortages, operational issues, safety concerns, and material requirements to the reporting manager
Maintain daily attendance, deployment, cleaning, and operational checklists
Monitor and report KST productivity and performance
Support audits, inspections, client visits, and special operational requirements
Ensure proper shift handover and communication between KST teams
Assist management during new site launches, events, and operational projects

Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 12th standard;
Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or a related field will be preferred
2–5 years of relevant experience , preferably in kitchen operations, hospitality, catering, QSR, central kitchen, institutional food, or facility operations
Prior experience supervising housekeeping, stewarding, kitchen support, or similar teams will be preferred
Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene, sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety
Experience in managing manpower and shift-based operations
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-volume food service environment
Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays as per business requirements
