About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Manager - Legal to oversee and manage legal affairs for our rapidly growing business. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in contract management, litigation, and regulatory compliance, with a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape surrounding financial technology, virtual assets, and digital payments.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, partnership agreements, NDAs, and technology-related contracts.
Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, business implications, and mitigation strategies for new initiatives, products, and partnerships.
Manage litigation and dispute resolution - liaising with external counsels, preparing legal documentation, and ensuring timely updates on ongoing cases.
Ensure the company's operations are compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements, particularly in fintech and digital asset domains.
Support corporate governance requirements, including board resolutions, policy reviews, and statutory filings.
Monitor emerging regulatory developments in fintech, crypto, and financial services, and provide guidance to management on impact and compliance strategies.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Compliance, Finance, and Risk teams to ensure alignment with legal frameworks.
Desired Candidate Profile
LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience in legal roles, preferably within Fintech, Payments, or Digital Asset companies.
Strong understanding of contract law, financial regulations, and technology-related legal issues.
Experience handling regulatory authorities (e.g: VARA, MAS, FIU, or international equivalents) will be an advantage.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and provide practical legal solutions in a fast-paced environment.
