Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Lawyer, located in Bengaluru. The Associate Lawyer will be responsible for providing legal advice, drafting and reviewing agreements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting in dispute resolution. The individual will be required to conduct legal research, manage contracts, liaise with external stakeholders, and support internal teams with legal matters relevant to the maritime industry.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are crucial for navigating complex legal scenarios.

Qualifications
Strong legal expertise, with skills in drafting agreements, contract management, and ensuring regulatory compliance
Proficiency in conducting legal research and providing sound advice on maritime regulations and policies
Experience in handling dispute resolution, arbitration, and litigation processes
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, industry-specific environment
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB or LLM); specialization in maritime law is an advantage
Prior experience in the shipping or maritime industry is a plus
