Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a hybrid engineering engagement that combines large-scale staffing operations with end-to-end turnkey project delivery for a strategic global technology customer.
The ideal candidate should bring strong capabilities in project governance, people leadership, financial acumen across multiple billing models, customer management, proposal creation , and the ability to scale operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Delivery Governance
Drive delivery excellence across both staff augmentation and project-based models.
Run governance rhythms: stand-ups, WSRs, MBRs, QBRs, risk reviews, and roadmap alignment discussions.
Implement PMO best practices such as scope control, scheduling, RACI definition, RAID logs, WBS decomposition, milestone tracking, and quality gates.
Ensure delivery meets all agreed KPIs, SLAs, performance thresholds, and customer expectations.
People Leadership & Workforce Management
Lead a large and scalable engineering workforce across multiple functions and levels.
Manage resource planning, skill alignment, competency mapping, workforce scalability, and career development plans.
Collaborate with TA for hiring plans, demand forecasting, onboarding, and ramp-up strategies.
Maintain team health via engagement initiatives, performance reviews, and conflict management.
Turnkey Project Management
Own full lifecycle of turnkey / managed service projects, including:
Requirements gathering & scope finalization
Effort estimation, WBS creation, capacity planning
Project scheduling & milestone commitments
Sprint planning and Agile governance
Delivery tracking, acceptance management, quality reviews
Drive cross-functional execution—development, validation, Dev Ops, automation, and tools teams.
Customer Relationship & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary customer interface for all delivery, staffing, operational, and project tracks.
Manage customer expectations through structured reviews, roadmap discussions, and governance conversations.
Build trust-based relationships with engineering managers, vendor management, and leadership stakeholders.
Capture new demand, identify expansion potential, and influence customer planning cycles.
Financial Management Across Multiple Billing Models
Manage end-to-end financial governance for both staffing and turnkey engagements, including:
Supported Financial Models
Time & Material (T&M)
Firm Fixed Price (FFP)
Monthly Fixed Billing (Resource-based or Capacity-based)
Milestone-Based Billing
Rate-Card Based Engagements
Hybrid Models (T&M + Milestones, FFP + Outcomes)
Managed Services / Outcome-Based Billing
Financial Responsibilities
Own timesheet governance, audit accuracy, and on-time closure.
Oversee invoice preparation, validation, customer approvals, and revenue realization.
Perform forecasting, margin analysis, cost optimization, variance tracking, and leakage control.
Maintain financial health dashboards and operational analytics.
Compliance, Quality & Process Excellence
Ensure full compliance to customer policies—IP protection, NDA adherence, security controls, audit frameworks.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across staffing operations and project delivery.
Champion best practices in knowledge management, configuration control, risk governance, and delivery maturity.
Required Skills & Experience
7–12 years of experience in project/program management across tech/engineering services.
Experience in both staffing delivery and turnkey project execution is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of project management frameworks:
Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid.
Proficiency in estimation, planning, risk management, quality assurance, and customer governance.
Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
Hands-on with tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, and vendor portals.
Exposure to domains like software, embedded, systems, VLSI, AI, or digital engineering is an advantage.
