Roles & Responsibilities
The PR & Communications Manager will be required to handle external and internal communications for Orkla India, ensuring consistent, high-quality storytelling across media, stakeholders, and employees. The role supports corporate reputation, brand visibility, leadership communication, and crisis preparedness while aligning with Orkla Indias strategic objectives
1. Navigating Complex Compliance & Disclosure Requirements
- Balancing timely, compelling communication with the strict disclosure norms of a listed company, especially during earnings cycles, corporate announcements, and regulatory updateswill require precision, cross-functional alignment, and zero-error execution.
2. Managing Reputation Across Diverse Brands & Stakeholders
- The role must build and protect corporate reputation for Orkla India while simultaneously supporting brand PR for MTR and Eastern. Ensuring consistency, coordination, and message discipline across varied business units, markets, and media channels can be challenging.
3. Ensuring Strong Leadership Visibility & High-Quality Content
- Delivering constant, top-tier communication for the CEO and CXOsspeeches, thought leadership, media briefs, social contentdemands creativity, strategic insight, and the ability to translate complex business priorities into clear narratives.
4. Driving Internal Engagement in a Multi-Location, Multi-Brand Environment
- Keeping employees informed, aligned, and engaged through internal platforms, campaigns, and leadership messages requires sustained storytelling, quick turnaround, and tailoring for diverse employee groups.
5. Crisis Preparedness & Rapid Response
- Maintaining readiness for sensitive issues, market-impacting developments, or operational crises is a major challengerequiring tight coordination with legal, HR, operations, and leadership, along with the ability to craft accurate and timely holding statements and FAQs under pressure.
Main tasks and/or projects:
- Safeguard corporate reputation by ensuring compliant, accurate communication aligned with listed-company disclosure norms.
- Drive external PR and media relations to strengthen visibility for Orkla India and its brands (MTR, Eastern).
- Lead internal communications to enhance employee engagement and deliver consistent leadership messaging.
- Build and manage CEO/CXO visibility through high-quality content, thought leadership, and industry representation.
- Manage crisis and sensitive communication, ensuring preparedness, aligned messaging, and risk mitigation across teams.
Experience
- 8-10 years of experience in PR, Corporate Communications, or Reputation Management
- Prior experience working with listed companies (FMCG/Consumer) or regulated sectors preferred
- Excellent writing skillspress releases, speeches, leadership narratives, and crisis communication
- Ability to work with C-suite, cross-functional teams, and external agencies
- Understanding and experience in Digital PR
