Associate Director

Location: Bengaluru

A Big 4 Consulting Firm is looking to hire Associate Director for its Bangalore, Kolkata & Hyderabad center.

Educational qualifications

• CA or CPA (shall hold active membership/license)

Roles & responsibilities

• Performing initial reviews of engagement team’s work papers and documentation for specific audit areas in accordance with AICPA or PCAOB auditing standards and related rules and regulations (including PCAOB and SEC independence standards).

• Assisting in the review of specific procedures related to accounting processes, such as reviewing walkthroughs/flowcharts during the understanding phase and reviewing relevant activities, controls, and substantive audit responses.

• Reviewing financial statements and conducting inquiries and confirmations with the engagement team to gather necessary information.•

• Summarizing results of review and presenting them to EQCR team members and the engagement team.•

• Driving the EQCR Team's specific work plan, ensuring schedules for all reviews are in line with individual engagement due dates, and liaise with the engagement team accordingly.

• Engaging in interactions with the engagement team, EQCR Team members, and other stakeholders.

Work experience

• Extensive experience in conducting integrated audits in accordance with PCAOB auditing standards, preferably with 10+ years of post-qualification experience in a Big 4 firm in a client facing position

• Extensive experience with the application/implementation of PCAOB auditing standards, SEC Regulations and US GAAP.

• Experience with audit quality initiatives and audit quality monitoring programs

• Is in the role of Associate Director or Senior Manager for at least one busy season and signed off work papers in that capacity.
