Role Overview

We are looking for a  Senior Chemist – Pharma  to support the R&D and process development team in executing synthetic chemistry experiments, process optimization, and scale-up of pharmaceutical intermediates and APIs. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of organic chemistry and hands-on experience in multi-step synthesis.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct laboratory-scale synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates and APIs under supervision.
Maintain accurate experimental records, observations, and results in lab notebooks.
Assist in process optimization and reaction parameter studies.
Support analytical teams in sample preparation and analysis (HPLC, GC, NMR, etc.).
Follow safety protocols, maintain lab hygiene, and handle chemicals responsibly.
Coordinate with senior chemists for scale-up trials and technology transfer activities.
Contribute to report preparation and documentation as per internal guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:

M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry

Experience:

1–3 Years

Technical Skills

Good knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry techniques.
Familiarity with purification methods (crystallization, distillation, column chromatography).
Basic understanding of analytical techniques (TLC, HPLC, GC, NMR, IR).

Soft Skills

Strong attention to detail and data integrity.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Eagerness to learn and contribute to process development activities.
