Pastry Chef

Job Summary

We are looking for an innovative and highly skilled Pastry Chef specializing in cheesecakes and dessert research & development. This role focuses on creating, testing, and refining cheesecake recipes while driving product innovation, consistency, and quality. The ideal candidate has a strong technical understanding of ingredients, textures, and baking science, with a passion for experimentation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and innovate cheesecake recipes (baked, no-bake, premium, seasonal, and signature styles)

Lead dessert  R&D , including ingredient trials, flavor profiling, and texture optimization

Standardize recipes with precise measurements, methods, and yields

Conduct shelf-life testing, cost analysis, and product feasibility studies

Improve existing recipes for taste, texture, consistency, and scalability

Collaborate with operations, production, and marketing teams for product launches

Source and evaluate ingredients, suppliers, and new techniques

Maintain detailed R&D documentation and recipe logs

Ensure all products meet food safety, hygiene, and quality standards

Train production staff on finalized recipes and procedures

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or R&D Chef with strong cheesecake expertise

Deep understanding of dairy chemistry, baking science, and formulation

Experience in recipe development, product testing, and standardization

Creative mindset with strong problem-solving skills

Ability to balance innovation with commercial viability

Strong organizational and documentation skills

Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards

Culinary or pastry degree preferred
