Lunch Aide I/Lunch Accountability - Fruit Street School Grades Pre K - 3 High School Diploma Post-Secondary Education Preferred CHRC fingerprinting certification The final selection will be based on the candidate's ability to effectively supervise students in the cafeteria and playground, assist with meal procedures, enforce school rules, and maintain orderly transitions. Additionally, strong candidates will demonstrate the ability to fulfill administrative responsibilities, including accurately preparing daily records, handling lunch payments and deposits, assisting with free and reduced lunch applications, and covering the school office.
Strong candidates will also possess typical secretarial skills such as answering phones professionally, looking up and managing student records, filing documents, handling confidential information with discretion, and providing courteous assistance to students, staff and parents. The ability to multitask, maintain organization in a busy school environment, use basic office technology (such as email, copy machines, and student information systems), and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing will also be key factors in the selection process.
