Construction Operations Manager
Salary up to $140k Bangor, ME Full-Time On-Site $120,000 - $140,000 /yr
We are seeking an experienced Construction Operations Manager to oversee heavy highway and civil construction operations. This role is ideal for a project manager or superintendent with a strong understanding of the end-to-end construction process, particularly within earthwork-intensive heavy highway projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee day-to-day operations across heavy highway construction projects
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning through execution and closeout
- Coordinate field operations, scheduling, manpower, equipment, and subcontractors
- Drive productivity, quality, safety, and cost control across projects
- Collaborate with project management, estimating, and executive leadership
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with company standards
- Proven experience in heavy highway construction, with a strong emphasis on earthwork
- Solid operational understanding of grading, excavation, roadway construction, and site development
- Experience with bridge and or utility work is a plus, but not required
- Preference for candidates with experience working in the Northeast market
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
