• Write, edit, and publish a high volume of news and culture content daily
• Collaborate closely with editorial, audio, and social teams for cohesive coverage
• Identify and elevate emerging stories relevant to Black audiences
• Publish and promote content across social platforms while adhering to best practices
• Monitor performance and audience response to inform editorial decisions

• 1-3 years of experience in digital journalism, web producing, or content creation
• Strong writing and editing skills with sound editorial judgment
• Familiarity with CMS publishing tools and basic image editing software
• Working knowledge of SEO, tagging, and content optimization best practices
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field is preferred

• Proven experience writing and editing online content, including articles and social media copy
• A genuine love of news, current events, and cultural conversations
• Experience publishing content on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and X
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A multimedia‑first mindset with an understanding of journalism across various platforms
