General Surgeon Opportunity in Scenic Northern Maine

Salary: $100 - $1,000 per hour.

• Assignment Duration: 3 months to start, possibility for extension
• Schedule:
  
  M-F; if OR day, start around 7:30 a.m.; if clinic day, start around 8 a.m. Rarely does an OR day go past 2 p.m. On clinic days, generally a full day. Low volume call.

  Bread & butter general surgery
• Endoscopy/Colonoscopy Required?:
  Yes
• Any Vascular, Thoracic, or Other Specialty Procedures?:
  No
• Minimum Experience
  
  Required:
  
  Approximately 5 years
• Patient Ages: 18 and up (pediatrics generally not included; occasional emergent cases through the OR)
• Patient Volume: ~30 colonoscopies per week, 5-10 general surgeries, ~18 office visits per day, minor office procedures (e.g., lesions)
• Support Staff:
  Full complement of OR staff, RNs and OR Techs; two assigned MAs in clinic; NP supporting own patients
• EMR System:
  Cerner Community Works
