Position OverviewAre you an experienced physician leader in family medicine looking to advance your career and play an integral role in shaping the next generation of family medicine physicians? Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Family Medicine Residency program seeks a dedicated family medicine physician to serve as Residency Director in Bangor, Maine
. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of family medicine in a supportive, community‑focused academic environment.
- 10‑10‑10 ACGME‑accredited residency program with Osteopathic Recognition
- Full‑spectrum family medicine curriculum including excellent inpatient and outpatient experience in obstetrics and pediatrics, as well as a range of specialty clinics and unique elective rotation opportunities
- Faculty: 11 family physicians, 1 pediatrician, 1 pharmacist, 1 family nurse practitioner, 2 certified nurse midwives, and an integrated behavioral health model led by a psychologist
- Cooperative relationship with all other GME programs: ONMM3, Psychiatry Residencies, and Hospice Medicine Fellowship
- Board Certification in Family Medicine (ABFM or AOBFP)
- Eligible for a Maine medical license
- At least 5 years of faculty experience required; GME program leadership experience as an Associate Program Director preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Desire to lead a multidisciplinary team
