Adjunct - Physics

Overview
Husson College of Science and Humanities seeks qualified candidates for part-time adjunct faculty in Physics. Assignments may require teaching day or evening classes as needed based on the University’s needs.

• Physics I
• Physics II

• Teach courses during fall and spring semesters in a classroom setting.
• Assist and support students beyond the classroom by holding regular or virtual office hours as needed.
• Work collegially with other faculty in the area to develop and use common syllabi, course materials, and assessment methods.
• Utilize instructional technology, especially Canvas LMS, Husson G‑Suite applications, the efaculty portal, and Examplify.
• Assess and report student performance.

• Earned Master’s Degree in Physics or a related field is required;
  Ph.D. preferred.
• Successful teaching experience at the college level preferred.
• Demonstrated dedication to improving classroom teaching, exploring new methods, and adapting to student needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team.

Rate is dependent upon the number of students enrolled in the course assigned.

• Undergraduate Course – Masters Prepared $933.33 maximum per credit hour*
• Undergraduate Course – Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour*
• Graduate Course – Masters Level Prepared $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour*
• Graduate Course – Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,100.00 maximum per credit hour*
