School-Based BHP - Bangor Schools

Woodfords Family Services has an immediate opening for a School-Based Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) in Bangor, Maine. This full-time role offers consistent school-day hours, competitive compensation and benefits, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students in need.

Position Summary

As a School-based BHP, you will work one-on-one with a child or adolescent within the public school setting to help achieve learning and development objectives. Individual goals are assessed and related to the learner's behaviors, social skills, personal and daily routines, and community inclusion.

Through the use of evidence-based practices, you will help foster a therapeutic, enriched, and meaningful learning environment for students with developmental, mental health and/or co-occurring disorders.

Opportunity Details

* Full-time, 35 hours per week

* Monday through Friday;
No Weekends!

* 8:30am - 3:30pm schedule (hours may vary based on school schedule)
* $20.00 - $22.00/hour - commensurate with experience

Qualifications

* Must be at least 18 years of age.

* Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.

* Experience working with children; special needs population preferred.

* BHP certification (course can be completed as part of employment and paid for by Woodfords)

* Valid driver's license with current auto insurance and use of a reliable vehicle
