• Current adapted physical education endorsement required (515 Adapted Physical Ed)
• Utilize reources adopted by the Bangor School Committee and other appropriate learning activities
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
• Develop lesson plans and instructional material. Provide individualized instruction and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of the students
• Maintains required inventory record
• Translates lesson plans into learning experiences so to best utilize the available time for instruction
• Assesses the accomplishment of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required
• Supervises pulils out of classroom activities during the assigned work day
• Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
• Communicates effectively through written and electronic modes
• Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities
• Participates cooperatively with all staff members and successfully functions as a collaborative team member
• Performs such other duties, consistent with the position, as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools
