A Bangor Region YMCA Child Development Teacher’s Aide is a creative, fun, and inspirational classroom team member who is excited to belong to a high-quality, education program for children aged 12 months – 12 years. The Teacher’s Aide is a great communicator with children and adults, recognizing the Bangor Region YMCA Child Development Program is a critically important, mission-driven program that is key to helping young children succeed in life.
We’re looking for a new team member who can:
- Assists with classroom activities that include reading stories, preparing/delivering activities, or assisting with small/large group activities as needed.
- Participates fully and monitors swim time activities.
- Maintains communication with the education staff and management to ensure a high-quality program.
(All while emphasizing the importance of the YMCA’s core values of honesty, respect, caring, and responsibility, of course!)
Qualifications:- Minimum of Associate Degree in Child Development/Education or related field.
- Completes Maine Early Learning Guidelines Training through the Maine Roads to Quality (MRTQ) Professional Development Network within 90 days of hire.
- Previous experience working with children in an early education setting.
