Part-Time Adjunct Faculty Pool in Anatomy and Physiology
The College of Science and Humanities at Husson University invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty pool in Anatomy and Physiology. This posting will remain open for up to one year to build a pool of qualified candidates who may be considered for future teaching opportunities as departmental needs arise.
The Anatomy and Physiology curriculum serves students pursuing careers in nursing, healthcare, exercise science, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medicine, and related health professions. We seek educators who are committed to student-centered teaching and helping students develop a strong understanding of human structure and function.
Assignments may include day or evening courses and are expected to be delivered on Husson University's Bangor campus.
Example of DutiesAdjunct instructors may be considered to teach lecture courses in the following areas:
Additional teaching opportunities may arise within the Biology and Health Sciences curricula. Applicants are encouraged to indicate areas of expertise and teaching interests.
Qualifications- An earned Master's degree in Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Exercise Science, Health Sciences, or a closely related discipline is required.
- A PhD, MD, DO, DPT, or other terminal degree in a related field is preferred.
- Successful college-level teaching experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific concepts effectively to undergraduate students.
- Commitment to providing engaging, inclusive, and student-centered instruction.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
General Physical Requirements Work is generally performed in a classroom, laboratory, clinical, online, office, or other instructional setting. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Physical Activities The essential functions of this position may require the ability to:
- Move about instructional, laboratory, clinical, office, or campus environments.
- Remain in a stationary position for extended periods while teaching, presenting, meeting with students, or performing related duties.
- Occasionally move, transport, or position instructional materials and equipment.
Visual Requirements Must be able to read, prepare, evaluate, and review a variety of materials in both electronic and printed formats, and observe student activities as necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
Working Conditions Work is performed primarily in instructional, laboratory, clinical, office, or remote learning environments, depending on course assignment and modality. The position may require evening, weekend, or off-site instructional activities.
Compensation
Compensation is based on academic credentials, course assignment and course enrollment.

Up to $933.33 per credit hour* - Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared:
Up to $1,016.67 per credit hour* - Graduate Courses
- Master's Prepared:
Up to $1,016.67 per credit hour* - Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared:
Up to $1,100.00 per credit hour* - Lab Sections (Undergraduate)
- Master's Prepared: $1,150.00 per credit hour
- Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared: $1,250.00 per credit hour
* Compensation is dependent upon the number of students enrolled in the assigned course.
