Administrative Manager
Husson University is seeking an organized and collaborative Administrative Manager to support the College of Science & Humanities, including Graduate Counseling and Teacher Education. This position plays a central role in keeping college operations running smoothly while supporting the Dean, program directors, faculty, staff, and students. As the Administrative Manager, you will oversee and coordinate daily administrative operations across the college while serving as a key resource for faculty, staff, and students.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing calendars, meetings, communications, event planning, and administrative workflows for college leadership.
- Supporting student recruitment, enrollment, advising, and student success initiatives.
- Assisting with academic scheduling, curriculum updates, and maintaining student and faculty records.
- Coordinating accreditation materials, reports, and compliance documentation for graduate counseling and teacher education programs.
- Managing budgets, purchase orders, travel reimbursements, stipends, and other financial tracking.
- Supervising student employees, including timecard oversight.
- Supporting faculty hiring processes through Neo Ed, including requisitions and applicant tracking.
- Coordinating practicum, internship, and clinical placement administrative processes, including student background checks and progress tracking.
- Maintaining program handbooks, policies, and departmental procedures.
- Serving as a liaison between students, faculty, admissions, alumni, and community partners.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and discretion. They should bring:
- Bachelor's degree required (Associate's degree considered with significant related experience)
- Minimum of three years of administrative or office management experience
- Higher education experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems
- Experience managing confidential information with professionalism
