RSU5, including Morse Street School (PreK-2) and Pownal Elementary School (PreK-5), seeks a dynamic librarian/media specialist.
The role involves teaching a library class as part of our innovative specials teams and managing the school library collections. The librarian will collaborate with school staff to support the use of the library and enhance the learning environment.
The ideal candidate is passionate about growing readers, cultivating joy in the learning process, and educating children about the role libraries play in society today.
Responsibilities- Teach library class as part of innovative specials teams.
- Manage school library collections.
- Collaborate with staff to support the use of the library and enhance the learning environment.
- Valid (071) Librarian/Media Specialist Certification from the Maine Department of Education.
Position remains open until a suitable candidate is found.
