Overview
$5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates! Join Sentrillion as a full-time Systems Service Technician in the Bangor, Maine area. This position is ideal for experienced satellite, telecom, and computer hardware technicians seeking to leverage their skills in a dynamic federal environment. You will help enhance security solutions that protect vital government operations. This is a full-time role with a salary range of $60,000 to $80,000 per year and the potential for remote work where applicable.
Responsibilities- Maintain computer and camera surveillance systems across a defined geographic region, including management of computers, data networks, digital video cameras, recorders, power supplies, and fiber optics.
- Install, update, and maintain hardware and software; ensure accurate asset accountability and maintain detailed maintenance records.
- Use advanced electrical theory to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues; employ diagnostic tools to calibrate and adjust electronic equipment to exact specifications.
- High school diploma or GED required; an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Experience or training in computers, data networks, digital video systems, and fiber optics; strong understanding of telecommunications systems including transmission, broadcasting, switching, and control.
- Familiarity with circuit boards, processors, chips, and both hardware and software applications; ability to use, repair, and maintain various machines and tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance. US Citizenship required. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time.
