Manufacturing Engineer - 2nd Shift

Job Description Summary

• Define and control production process including tooling and equipment.
• Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing methods to support safety, delivery, and cost (SQDC) priorities.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
• Understand key business drivers and use this understanding to accomplish own work.
• Understand how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• Use judgment and propose different solutions outside of set parameters with guidance.
• Use prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.
• Apply technical skills and analytic thinking to solve problems.
• Use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
• Perform as an individual contributor with proven interpersonal and time management skills.
• Participate in monthly Lean Kaizen events to support the Lean Roadmap.
• Support New Product Introduction.
• Support CNC processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university
• OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing or operations experience
• Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
• Able to work 100% onsite in Bangor, Maine
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and organization
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
• Basic project management skills
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles
• Experience with NC Programming/CAM
