Job SummaryAs the System Financial Manager, you will assess the financial performance of the health care food service system across 10 hospitals, managing an annual volume of $25 million. You will oversee accounting and control functions including revenue and expense reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and monthly financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Compile new and rebid pro-forma and analyze for accuracy
- Prepare and analyze monthly management reports, new, rebid and lost business reports, and weekly Business Owner Reports
- Provide financial guidance to operating units within the region on client returns, revenue and profitability goals
- Improve financial status by compiling and analyzing budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and considering "what if" scenarios
- Document and maintain accurate supporting information for all financial transactions
- Provide timely reporting on financial activity of individual projects
- Create and design reports and spreadsheets; maintain database to organize and upload data into required reporting formats
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance
- Three to five years of related experience in food service; healthcare experience preferred
- Position based in Bangor, Maine with ability to travel to other Maine accounts
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Excellent organization, time‑management, negotiation, and presentation skills
