The HU Healthcare Studies Program is seeking to compile a pool of qualified candidates interested in teaching Introduction to Healthcare Studies, Medical Terminology, Public Health, and Healthcare Law and Ethics. Opportunities are dependent upon the needs of the University and may require teaching day, evening, or online classes.

The course provides an overview of healthcare in the United States including the structure of the healthcare delivery system, key national and state health policy issues, and how healthcare is financed. Population and public health approaches to ensuring the health of the population are also examined.

This course is designed to give students a comprehensive vocabulary of medical language by analyzing the root forms, prefixes, and suffixes of medical terms associated with different parts of the body and their associated physiological systems.

Husson University seeks an adjunct professor to teach the course Introduction to Public Health, currently taught in both traditional face‑to‑face and online formats. Public Health introduces students to the current field of public health in the United States, focusing on key areas of study, intervention, and organizational structure of agencies involved in public health.

Husson University seeks an adjunct professor to teach the course Healthcare Law and Ethics, currently taught in a traditional face‑to‑face format and to be offered online within the next 18 months. The course will cover major laws and regulations impacting healthcare delivery, as well as ethical principles that guide clinical practitioners and administrators.

Candidates are required to have a doctoral or master’s degree in public health, health administration, health policy, or a related field.

• Masters Prepared: $1,150.00 per credit hour
• Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared: $1,250.00 per credit hour
