1 year of Intermediate/PCU level of care experience or 2 years of Med/Surg experience with some PCU
License:
Current nursing license required

Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Must-Have:

Experience with trauma patients, neuro checks, and various medical procedures

Description:

Immediate start needed.
Level II Trauma Center with air flight capabilities.
Facility has 411 beds.
Unit consists of 12 beds.
Experience required in a variety of trauma and medical/surgical conditions.
Patients will include those with neuro strokes, respiratory illnesses, and cardiac issues.
Patient ratios for RNs are 1:3-4, with tech support ratios of 1:6-12, depending on staffing.
Charge nurse may also care for patients if necessary.
Additional support includes 24/7 resource nurse, hospitalist, and respiratory therapy.
Charting system utilized is Cerner, with preference for prior experience.
Floats may occur to various departments based on assignment needs.
Weekend rotation is required every other week.
Holidays may vary based on unit needs.
