Experience:

Minimum 1 year in Intermediate/PCU level of care.
License:
Active nursing license required.

Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred.
Must-Have:

Experience with Trauma and Stroke patients; charge experience preferred.

Description:

Asap start needed.
Level II Trauma Center, with air flight capabilities.
411 beds in total.
Patient types include Neuro strokes, stable Craniotomies, and respiratory illnesses.
Patients may have tracheostomies and require ventilation support.
Medical/Surgical cases include respiratory failure, sepsis, and post-op general surgery.
Cardiac patients include those with STEMI, NSTEMI, and CHF.
Patient ratios are RN: 1:3-4 and Tech: 1:6-12, depending on staffing needs.

Experience with cardiac drips, insulin titration, and temporary pacemakers is required.
CNA support and resource nurses will be available on the unit.
Float to Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Critical Care Unit may be required.
Charting system preferred is Cerner.
Professional scrub attire is required.
Weekend rotation every other week is expected.
Holiday expectations may vary based on unit needs.
