Sterile Processing Tech - Overnights 11p-7a job gor, ME.
Under the supervision of the sterile processing supervisor, the technician is responsible for performing the following duties related to the basic function of the department:
- Follow hospital policies and procedures.
- Properly cleans and prepares instrumentation for sterilization.
- Transportation of soiled and sterile instruments to the operating room area.
- Maintains competency in sterile processing processes.
- Maintain good communication with co-workers and supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned by the SPD Supervisor, charge technician and/or Director.
- BLS is mandatory within three months.
- CSPDT (certified sterile processing department technician) is encouraged within 18 months of hire.
