Position: Employee Development Associate

Description

We’re looking for an Employee Development Associate to partner with leaders across the Bank to support employee development, onboarding, training initiatives, and career growth. This role plays a key part in shaping the employee experience—from day one onboarding to long-term development planning.

Duties:

As an Employee Development Associate, you’ll be at the heart of our learning and development efforts, including:

  • Deliver engaging Day One onboarding for new hires at our Bangor Training Center or Damariscotta location
  • Partner with training team members to support onboarding and training across multiple locations
  • Collaborate with the Training & Education Manager to develop and enhance training materials for all roles
  • Administer and expand the Bank’s use of Predictive Index (PI) beyond hiring, including:
    • Maintaining accurate PI data
    • Preparing coaching packets, team profiles, and analytics for supervisors
    • Supporting team building, coaching, and employee relations
  • Coordinate PI training and support leaders in applying insights effectively
  • Work with supervisors to identify development opportunities and create individual or group development plans
  • Research and create educational and career development opportunities for employees
  • Manage and grow key programs, including:
    • “Walk a Day” job shadowing program
    • Summer Internship Program
    • Bank-wide mentoring program
  • Recommend and coordinate employee attendance at banking schools and professional development programs
  • Represent First National Bank at career fairs within our footprint
  • Pitch in on additional projects that support our people and culture

Requirements

Required Skills:

· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

· Clear written and verbal communication skills

· Customer-centric mindset with understanding of community banking culture

· Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently

Education, Training, and

Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Direct customer contact experience desirable

· Banking and Predictive Index experience preferred

· Experience with Jack Henry or similar system preferred
