Why You'll Love This Role:
Join a team where your advanced technical expertise and leadership directly support our customers' banking experience every day. We're looking for someone who not only thrives on solving complex problems but also enjoys mentoring others and driving continuous improvement.
You'll work with cutting-edge banking technology while maintaining the stability and security our customers depend on.
** What You'll Do:
**** Keep Our Banking Systems Running Smoothly
** You'll be the go-to person for our Bank applications—from our Banking Core system to retail and online banking platforms. Your day involves responding to support requests, troubleshooting issues, and making sure everything runs optimally with minimal downtime.
** Maintain and Improve Our Technology
** Handle the technical details: set up user accounts, apply updates and patches, coordinate with vendors, and ensure our systems stay secure and perform at their best. You'll monitor system health, manage file transfers, and tackle cleanup activities that keep everything humming.
** Be a Technical Problem Solver
** When something goes wrong, you'll dig in to figure out why. You'll analyze problems, escalate when needed, and work with internal teams and vendors to get issues resolved quickly. You'll take a proactive approach to technical support to improve overall application quality.
** Develop Deep Technical Knowledge
** Build and maintain deep knowledge of our Bank systems and software. Understand the capabilities and intricacies of multiple applications and how they work together to meet customer needs.
** Document and Communicate
** Create clear documentation and diagrams of our systems. Keep users, management, and IT leadership informed about what's happening with our applications. You'll use tools like MS-Word, MS-Excel, and MS-Visio to make complex systems understandable.
** Work with Data and Reports
** Build reports using our supported reporting tools and write database queries to help users get the information they need. Your SQL skills will be essential for creating queries that support user inquiries and application needs.
** Lead by Example and Mentor Others
** Act as a role model for team members in all aspects of daily work. Educate less-experienced team members, cross-train others on the team, and share your knowledge to help the entire team grow.
** Drive Process Improvements
** Observe processes and trends, then make recommendations for changes that help achieve departmental and individual goals. Drive change and promote new ideas that make us better.
** Manage Changes Carefully
** Follow our change management processes when upgrading or modifying systems. Coordinate both planned and unplanned outages with everyone who needs to know.
** Support Security and Compliance
** Help maintain our Information Security Program and ensure we're meeting all regulatory requirements. Data security, integrity, and confidentiality are non-negotiable.
** Collaborate Across Teams
** Work harmoniously with business partners throughout the Bank. You'll coordinate tasks and provide technical assistance to users and fellow IT staff when they need it. Your presentation skills will help you convey ideas to large and varied audiences.
