The primary function of the IT Technician is to assist the IT Director in managing and overseeing the district's technology programs and resources in such a state of operating excellence that they present no problems or interruptions to the educational program.

Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in a computer related field;
  • One to three years experience providing end-user support on computer hardware, including iPads, PC's, printers, smart boards, document cameras, and other district utilized hardware;
  • Google G Suite Admin Knowledge and Chrome OS expertise;
  • Strong PC repair skills with Microsoft Windows experience;
  • Sip Xecs Technology knowledge;
  • Experience in network configuration;
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, including IP addressing;
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Excellent problem solving skills;
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Language Skills :
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of directors, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical

    Skills:

    Ability to perform these essential duties using mathematical units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts mathematically related to proportions, percentages, area and circumference using appropriate and basic mathematical skills. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to solve routine problems with minimal supervisory assistance. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, with staff and with the community. Ability to perform duties with awareness and consistency to the mission and goals established by the Board of Education.

    Occasionally the employee must use hand/grip strength to do manual tasks. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.

Supervisory Responsibility

All school employees have some responsibility for supervising students and assisting in maintaining a safe environment at all times.

Salary Range

$51,000-$55,000 per year; dependent upon credentials and experience.

Non-union position.

Responsibilities
  • Trouble shoot, repair, and maintain computer equipment;
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software;
  • Set up and configure network/shared/stand-alone printers;
  • Set up network protocols and configurations;
  • Provide support to staff members as needed;
  • Skyward management;
  • Set up student rosters for District programs, (NWEA, Moby Max, Big Ideas Math, RAZ Kids, Clever, etc.)
  • Attend District Technology Committee meetings;
  • Assist with web page support;
  • Monitor and visit technology labs throughout the District;
  • Inventory management and support;
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Takes in-service training as provided.
  • Must be self-directed and have the ability to follow directives from supervisors.
  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
