Shipping & Receiving Associate – Training Available for the Right Candidate
We are actively hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate for a growing client in Bangor that supports airline food logistics and production. Join a small, close-knit team with a great culture, offering daytime hours, a central location, and perks like free lunch Fridays.
This hands-on role pays $17/hr is temp-to-hire, providing a great pathway to long-term employment, and a stable schedule. Where you will be working across shipping, receiving, and food assembly – it is perfect for candidates who enjoy staying active, jobs with variety, and appreciate a fast-paced work environment.
Typical Daily Duties:- Prepare and organize work areas, review orders, and prioritize daily shipment schedules
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments; check for damage, shortages, and discrepancies
- Assemble airline food orders, verifying quantity, type, and destination accuracy
- Pack, label, and palletize outgoing shipments; prepare loads for transport
- Maintain inventory records and organize stock across storage areas (including cold storage)
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and carts to move products throughout the facility
- Support food production, packing, and loading activities as needed throughout the day
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse/manufacturing preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Ability to stand/walk for full shift and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong attention to detail with basic math and reading skills for order verification
- Must follow strict food safety guidelines (no jewelry, perfume, makeup, nail polish, etc.) and adhere to HACCP standards
