Job DetailsWe are looking for a dynamic and experienced Foundry Manager to oversee and manage all operations within our foundry. This is a permanent position that requires a hands‑on approach to molding, core making, finishing, safety, quality, production, cost control, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the foundry runs efficiently and effectively, meeting all production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities- Oversee and manage all aspects of the foundry operations, including but not limited to molding, core making, and finishing.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency in the foundry.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and protocols, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Monitor production processes, making necessary adjustments to ensure that production targets are met.
- Implement cost control measures to ensure that the foundry operates within budget.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and increase operational efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and manage foundry staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Liaise with other departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Resolve any issues or challenges that may arise in the foundry, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a foundry environment, preferably in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in molding, core making, finishing, safety, quality, production, and cost control.
- Strong knowledge of foundry processes and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations.
- A degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
