Sheet Metal Mechanic Aircraft

Position: SHEET METAL MECHANIC  AIRCRAFT
USA Government Jobs -  - Responsibilities:
Inspect and troubleshoot aircraft structures such as fuselage, tail, wings, cowlings, and stabilizers; determine nature and extent of repairs using Technical Manuals.;
Remove, fabricates, repairs, modifies, and installs parts and assemblies such as frames, stringers, longerons, bulkheads, beams, ribs, spars, skin, cowling, brackets, fairings, stressed and double contour skins using hand or powered tools and metalworking equipment.;
Fit and trim components to aircraft such as loading gear doors, aneroids, flaps, engine access doors and similar assemblies.;
Fabricate local manufactured items required for facility support; perform layout, bending, cutting, forming and assembling; devise patterns via triangulation and line development.;
Set up, operate and maintain power shears, brakes, rolls, dimpling machines, drills, saws, furnaces, hardness testers, welders, and other metalworking tools; read blueprints/diagrams/work orders; prepare layouts and templates.
