C&L Aviation Services, a C&L Aviation Group company is seeking skilled Upholstery Technicians to join our Interior Shop team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced upholstery professional to apply their skills in the aviation industry.

Job Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret design/engineering drawings, work instructions, and aircraft specifications.
  • Strip, chemically clean, repair, and recover flat panels, bulkheads, seat panels, and other interior components.
  • Work with a variety of materials, including fabric, vinyl, leather, composites, and other specialty materials.
  • Use adhesives, sewing equipment, hand tools, and power tools to complete upholstery and interior work.
  • Cut and serge carpets to required specifications.
  • Inspect leather hides for defects and perform accurate layout work.
  • Trace and cut seat patterns according to specifications.
  • Install aircraft interior components, including window panels, headliners, sidewalls, and baggage panels.
  • Sew and upholster covers in accordance with design specifications as needed.
  • Collaborate with lead technicians to improve processes, enhance safety, and reduce costs and cycle times.
  • Properly protect aircraft interiors, both inside and outside the aircraft, during maintenance and installation activities.
  • Follow all safety, housekeeping, and PPE requirements.
  • Use material-tracking systems to issue parts, document work, and complete work-order sign-offs.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial upholstery or related experience.
  • Experience in marine or automotive upholstery is a plus.
  • Ability to work with a variety of materials, tools, and equipment in a production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must successfully complete an FAA-required pre-employment drug test and participate in FAA-mandated random drug and alcohol testing program throughout employment.

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
