Position: Nurse Manager (RN)- Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit (Rockport)

Maine Health Behavioral Health is seeking a Nurse Manager for our 16‑bed inpatient Behavioral Health unit based in Rockport. This is a Monday‑Friday role with 24/7 accountability, supported after hours by House Supervision and a dedicated Care Coordinator.

The Nurse Manager will lead a team of approximately 30 FTEs and play a key role in fostering a safe, therapeutic, and collaborative care environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong passion for serving the behavioral health population, a calm and collaborative leadership style, and the ability to think critically in complex situations. This leader will also demonstrate innovation and a commitment to continuous improvement.

2+ years Behavioral Health RN experience, prior leadership experience desired.

Job Summary

The Nurse Manager assists the Director in the coordination, supervision, and management of all personnel and patient care activities of the unit and in the successful operation of the hospital and network at large.

Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a graduate of an accredited Nursing program required. RNC preferred.
  • License/

    Certifications:

    Licensed as a registered professional nurse by the Maine State Board of Nursing required.
  • Experience:

    2+ years of psychiatric nursing or comparable experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate leadership and management skills.
  • Demonstrate expertise in clinical practice and judgment.
