Job Title:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate PACU Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The ideal candidate will monitor patient vitals, ensure safe recovery, and respond quickly to any complications in the post-anesthesia care unit.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and assess vital signs (BP, heart rate, oxygen levels).
- Ensure airway management and patient stability during recovery.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and pain management as prescribed.
- Identify and respond to post-surgical complications promptly.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSc Nursing / GNM).
- Valid nursing license/registration.
- Experience in PACU, ICU, or critical care preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia recovery protocols.
- Excellent patient care and monitoring skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- ACLS/BLS certification.
- Prior experience in surgical or recovery units.
